....Has Britain ever declared itself to be a secular nation? Has the US or for that matter any western nation ever called itself "secular" in the true sense of the term? Never. There are many disparate communities from different faiths living in western societies. However, they are governed by the Christian doctirne that influences their parliaments and the laws of the land. The same is applicable to India. It is predominantly a Hindu nation and its majority citizens have the right to go down the Hindu Rahstra path if they choose. No one (especially living abroad) have any right to question that.
