DOGS' HOLOCAUST in #ROMANIA ! I.R.E.C. The Extremist Diversion
As it was easy to imagine, all during this murderous hysteria, the N.G.O.s and the wider community of animals protectors reacted by ample and strong protests. Along the months of September, October, November, 2013, took place many rallies, demonstrations and marches - both in Bucharest and other Romanian towns, and in various European cities (especially in Germany and Italy).

They had just one visible effect:

Very soon, a number of new organizations sprang up, claiming they were fighting for protecting the human beings (and especially the children, of course!) against the stray dogs plague, and loudly demanding their extermination. The main examples are:

- The Initiative for Civic Responsibility (I.R.E.C.),

- The Association (N.G.O.) Mothers for Mothers,

- The Foundation and Association White Cross,

- The Alliance for Public Health.

They were instantly embraced by the media, being granted ample air time at maximum audience hours. Very soon, it became obvious that their activities supposed a financial level way too high for some mere N.G.O.s barely established.

One of the main actions of I.R.E.C. consisted in demanding the removal of the advertising panels in Bucharest, by which we were reclaiming:

- NO to euthanasia!

- ADOPT stray dogs!

As is happens, both I.R.E.C. and "Mother for Mothers" are led by Ana Măiţă, a person who militates for disputable issues, like unassisted birth-giving and breast-feeding for an indeterminate time (no matter the children's age). She became (in)famous after having posted online an exhibitionist video of herself, taken by her husband, while giving birth to her second son, in full view of the older one, on the bathroom floor. Her second in command is a certain Alina Dinicu.

Recently, in March 24, 2014, Senator Cristiana-Irina Anghel made an official demand to Ion Moraru, General Secretary of the Government, asking (among others) for briefings about the amounts granted from public funds (amounts appropriated from the State budget and the local administrations budgets) to:

- the associations and N.G.O.s having as a core business the managing of stray dogs.

- the extremist associations listed above.

We'll be waiting for the results.
