PLEASE READ!!! STUCK IN BOARDING!
HELP NEEDED TO FIX A HORRIBLE WRONG!
The rescue world is based on trust. Trust, it's a matter of life and death for the animals on death row and the survival of rescues that are desperately trying to save them. When that trust is violated, it can mean the death of a dog that we have already celebrated their freedom from impending euthanasia.

This is the story of two such dogs.

Pat and Pattie, abandoned pair of bulldogs, were scheduled to die in an overcrowded kill shelter the next morning, when a miracle happened. The phone rang with a rescue offer not only saving the pair but keeping them together in a wonderful rescue. We trusted that the person, Angela, was in representative of this rescue and subsequently pulled the pair for them and placed them in boarding. We then waited patiently while this representative worked on transport arrangements. She communicated with us a couple of times letting us know that things were moving along. When we attempted to call back this Angela, her phone was a magic jack phone and does not take messages. We attempted to call the rescue and they have never heard of this person. Now we have two sweet lovable bulldogs with no place to go, stuck in boarding and all pledge money has run out. This is so horribly wrong!!
This person has not helped the dogs. She has left them stuck in boarding with no place to go, no foster, no rescue.... IN LIMBO.

Other dogs will die because of this betrayal. We do not have the funds to keep them in boarding indefinitely and will be forced to return them to the shelter where they had escaped an unthinkable fate. We are now going to be very slow to trust the next person who calls from an area that we do not normally have transports, fearful that we will have another dog in limbo. Perhaps she thought that she was helping these dogs. When we get a call only hours before a dog is killed we go on trust because we sure NEVER want a dog with a place to go die. Shame on you Angela.

We ask your help to get a rescue for Pat and Pattie as soon as possible and donations to keep them safely at the vet while begging for a spot. It is $750 a month ($25 a day) or return them to the shelter to die. WHAT A HORRIBLE option.

If you can provide a loving home or are a legitimate rescue willing to take these 2 in, please call Silvia 910-876- 0539 or Debbie 339-832-0806 or email bladenpets@yahoo.com

Please send any donations for boarding to www.ashelterfriend.org or call the Elizabethtown Veterinary Hospital directly at 910-862-3000.
