Interstate laws require that all puppies be quarantined out of the shelter for two weeks prior to their transport to a qualified rescue organization. In addition, A Shelter Friend (ASF) wants to ensure that these rescues are receiving as healthy a puppy as possible into their rescue program. In order to meet this requirement, ASF has initiated the PUPPY QUARANTINE PROGRAM (PQP). What is Sponsorship & What is PQP: Your generous sponsorship of $35.00 will ensure that ASF can provide the necessary quarantine in a safe environment and vetting that a puppy needs before being placed with one of the many rescue organizations that ASF currently works with. Sponsorship of $35.00 ensures the following: 1) A puppy will be pulled from the shelter; 2) provided the necessary vetting and age appropriate shots; 3) is quarantined in a safe environment to ensure that there are no underlying health problems for two (2) weeks; 4) provide a health certificate with the puppy upon it's release, and 5) be healthy and ready for the many qualified and wonderful rescue organizations that ASF deals with all over the country.
