A low pressure system will push through eastern Colorado tonight, dragging a cold front through the region this evening. Moisture will increase across southeast Colorado behind this front, with a good chance for precipitation developing over most locations by late tonight, into the early afternoon hours on Thursday. Winter weather advisories have been issued for the mountains and across northern El Paso County, so persons planning on traveling through these areas should visit our web page for the latest updates at weather.gov/pub. A mixture of rain and snow is expected across the eastern plains, with some light snow accumulations possible mainly after midnight on grassy areas, along the Interstate 25 corridor. The chances for precipitation will gradually diminish from east to west Thursday afternoon, as the low moves away from the state. Area temperatures will be noticeably colder on Thursday, with temperatures only warming into the 30s to mid 40s over most location! s. (Please visit http://weather.gov/pub for more information.)
