Dry and fair weather will continue across eastern Colorado today, as high pressure builds over the region. A weak upper level disturbance will push across the eastern plains this afternoon and evening. Moisture will remain limited with this disturbance, with only a few clouds and gusty winds spreading across the far eastern plains. This will help to increase the fire danger over this area, prompting the issuance of a Red Flag Warning. On Sunday, a low pressure system will push over Colorado, with gusty winds developing over much of the state. This will bring an elevated fire danger to all of the southeast plains Sunday afternoon and evening. For more information on the fire danger over the next 48 hours, please visit our web page at weather.gov/pub. Area temperatures will return to above average today, with highs warming into the 50s to low 70s over most areas. (Please visit http://weather.gov/pub for more information.)
