#cowx   For today and tonight:  A potent weather system will move across the area tonight. Ahead  of this system gusty southwest to west winds of 45 mph combined  with low humidities will lead to high fire danger over the eastern  plains. Gusty winds up to 65 mph will occur in the mountains and  foothills as well with gusts up to 50 mph along the Front Range  this afternoon.  Tonight snow will increase in the mountains with accumulations of  4 to 8 inches possible by Tuesday morning. Gusty winds will  produce areas of blowing snow and poor visibilities over the  higher passes. Over northeast Colorado strong winds may develop  over the eastern plains after midnight with gusts up to 55 mph. In  addition there will be a chance of rain showers changing to snow  after midnight over the plains as well.  For Tuesday through Sunday:  Snow is likely in the mountains on Tuesday. There will be a  chance of snow over the eastern plains on Tuesday, with strong  north winds as we! ll. There will be a slight chance of snow over  the Front Range plains. Snowfall amounts are not expected to be  significant. Dry weather is expected Tuesday night into Saturday  morning. The next chance of snow moves in, mainly for the  mountains, Saturday and Saturday night. Sunday looks dry again.  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
