A storm system moving across the Northern Rockies will drop south into Colorado this morning. Expect snwo showers over the Central Mountains to continue through the day today. Meanwhile, a strong cold front will drop south across the Eastern Plains this morning. Very strong winds gusting to near 50 mph will be possible. Blowing dust will cause reduced visibilities and strong cross winds on east-west highways will exist across the Plains this afternoon...extreme caution is advised. Model data continues to indicate a few showers will be possible behind the front over the Palmer Divide and Eastern Mountains. Downslope wind effects should keep most of the Plains dry, however. In addition...temperatures will warm quickly this morning into the 50s before falling behind the cold front this afternoon. (Please visit http://weather.gov/pub for more information.)
