High pressure will weaken over the area today, as a weak area of low pressure takes shape over the region. This low will drag a shallow cold front through eastern Colorado this evening, with a slightly cooler airmass spreading across the region behind the front. Ahead of this system, warm and mostly dry weather will continue, with only a few late day snow showers expected over the southwest and central mountain regions. Gusty winds will be possible across the higher elevations today. Highs will range from the 60s to near 70 across the eastern plains, and upper 40s to middle 50s over the high country.
