A low pressure system will push across eastern Colorado tonight, dragging a cold front through the region during the morning hours on Friday. Moisture will increase across the state behind this front, with a good chance for precipitation developing over most locations into early Saturday morning. The precipitation will likely start out as rain over the eastern plains Friday afternoon, but should mix with and change over to all snow during the evening hours. Travel may become hazardous across portions of eastern Colorado Friday into Saturday, so persons planning travel across the area should stay abreast of the latest forecasts, warnings and advisories for this developing winter weather situation. At this time, it appears like the highest impact from the snow will over the mountains and adjacent plains, with lighter accumulations expected elsewhere across the region. High temperatures on Friday will likely occur during the morning hours, with steady or slowly falling! temperatures expected behind the cold front Friday afternoon.
