The chances for precipitation will diminish across the region early this morning, giving way to plenty of sunshine across the state. Temperatures will be noticeably cooler today over the eastern plains, but still around average, with above average readings expected over the high country, as temperatures warming into the 40s and 50s over most areas. Our next low pressure system will take shape over Colorado late Thursday, with a chance for precipitation developing along the Continental Divide. This low was then expected to move south into eastern New Mexico and western Texas Friday night, dragging a cold front through the region by midafternoon on Friday. Moisture will increase across the remainder of the state behind this cold front, with a good chance for precipitation developing area wide Friday night into Saturday morning.
