Our next low pressure system will begin moving across the state today, bragging a shallow cold front through eastern Colorado this evening. Warm and dry air will spread across the region ahead of the cold front, with above average temperatures expected over most locations this afternoon, as highs top out in the mid 50s to lower 60s over the eastern plains and 40s to lower 50s over the high country. Behind the cold front his evening, moisture will briefly increase across the state, with isolated to scattered areas of precipitation developing across much of eastern Colorado into early Wednesday morning. The best chances for precipitation were expected in and near the mountains and across the Palmer Divide, where light snow accumulations are possible.
