The chances for snow will gradually diminish across eastern Colorado this evening, as the low pressure system over southern New Mexico and western Texas moves south into Mexico and away from the state. Dry weather will then briefly return to the region late tonight into early Monday, before our next storm system begins to take shape across the desert southwest. This low will bring a return of unsettled weather to the region from Monday into Tuesday night, beginning across the Continental Divide Monday afternoon, and spreading east across the remainder of the state Monday evening. This system will likely bring hazardous travel conditions to much of the state Tuesday morning, so persons planning to travel during this time should remain weather alert. Area temperatures will remain quite cold across the region over the next few days, with highs only topping out in the 20s to mid 30s Sunday afternoon.
