Wintry weather will continue tonight through Saturday. Heavy snow will continue across the mountains tonight with the heaviest snow falling along the continental divide. Snow will become lighter through Saturday but will remain continuous. Meanwhile, narrow bands of snow will continue to spread off the southeast mountains and into the adjacent plains tonight, leading to more highly variable snowfall amounts. Quick accumulations of an inch or two will be possible under the heavier bands. Another round of snow will spread across the southeast mountains and plains on Saturday. Wintry weather will result in slick and snow packed roads through the next 24 to 48 hours, especially over the high country where avalanche danger will remain high.
