A west to northwest wind flow aloft, will spread across Colorado over the next few days, while an area of low pressure at the surface builds slowly into the state from the northwest. This will bring periods of cloudiness to the region into the upcoming weekend, with unsettled weather developing across eastern Colorado, especially over the central and southwest mountain regions, where winter highlights have been issued. Strong winds will also be a concern for the eastern mountains tonight. For the latest information on these weather highlights, please visit our web page at www.weather.gov/pub. Elsewhere across the region, dry and warmer weather was expected today, with isolated to scattered areas of precipitation developing Thursday and Friday. Some light accumulations of snow may be possible, mainly in and near the mountains. (Please visit http://weather.gov/pub for more information.)
