#cowx   For today and tonight:  Light snow will continue to sink south tonight with up to an inch  or two additional accumulation through the rest of the night. Roads  continue to be slippery in places, making travel hazardous. If  traveling tonight, allow extra time to reach your destination.  Skies clearing from the north will allow minimum temperatures to  dip in the single digits and possible below zero  readings, especially near the northern state border.  For Tuesday through Sunday:  Temperatures will remain cold Tuesday. Warmer temperatures will  return on Wednesday with a chance of snow in the mountains. Very  windy conditions will be possible in and near the foothills by  Wednesday afternoon.  For Thursday into Friday abundant moisture combined with weak  disturbances in strong westerly flow aloft will produce snow in  the mountains. The snow may be heavy at times with several inches  possible. Across the lower elevations a cold front will affect  the area ! which will bring a good chance of snow Thursday  afternoon into Friday morning. There is some potential for  significant accumulations Thursday night into Friday morning in  the foothills and across portions of northeast Colorado. Drier  conditions will prevail for the weekend with only a chance of snow  across the mountains. A weak disturbance could bring a slight  chance of snow to the plains Sunday.
