Hailed as one of the finest composers Hawaii has ever produced, a three-time Grammy Winner and a five-time Na Hoku Hanohano (Hawaiian Grammy) recipient, Dennis Kamakahi has crafted 700 songs, including many standards in both Hawaiian and English. In addition to his songwriting, Dennis is a slack key guitar master, a warm, evocative singer and an accomplished storyteller with special interest in the monarchy era, na paniolo (Hawaiian cowboys), and Hawaiians in the Pacific Northwest. In 2009, Dennis was inducted into the Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame.
