WCCO TV's new "weather watcher", which of course is the reincarnation of beloved Minneapolis icon, the Northwestern Weather Ball (for local NW Natl Bank, which took over Wells Fargo Bank and assumed its name). The Weather Ball loomed downtown, like a giant prehistoric app icon, informing locals of the weather to come at a glance, until a 1982 fire brought it down.
