#cowx For today and tonight: High winds will continue to blow across the northeast plains of Colorado through the afternoon, producing considerable blowing dust and hazardous travel. Visibilities near open fields may be reduced to near zero at times, so any travelers should be alert for rapidly changing visibilities and slowed or stopped traffic. The worst conditions are expected to occur over Logan, Sedgwick, Phillips, and Washington counties. Much lighter winds will occur closer to the Front Range and I-25 Urban Corridor. Winds will decrease this evening, although some gusts up to 50 mph will again be possible in and near the foothills overnight. For Friday through Wednesday: No significant weather is expected at this time. Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight, however reports of high winds and reduced visibility due to blowing dust on the northeast plains will be appreciated.
