Fair and dry weather will be the rule across southern and eastern Colorado Thursday. Brisk northwest flow aloft is expected to keep gusty winds in the picture in the higher mountain areas...while a weak disturbance brushing through the plains states will bring gusty afternoon winds to the far eastern counties. Otherwise look for mostly sunny skies region wide. Temperatures will be a few degrees cooler than Wednesday's readings...but should still be above average in all areas...as the mercury tops out in the 30s and 40s in higher elevations...and the 40s to lower 50s in the east.
