Strong northwest flow aloft is expected to ease across most of southern Colorado Tuesday...although gusty winds will still be possible over the mountains and over the extreme eastern plains. A surface cold front will also line up to sweep through the state the first half of the day...bringing slightly cooler temperatures to most parts of the region. Little probability of precipitation is in the outlook beyond a slight chance of snow in the central mountains...and isolated rain or snow showers along the Palmer Divide. Afternoon temperatures should be around or a little above average...while the San Luis Valley continues to be the cold spot. (Please visit http://weather.gov/pub for more information.)
