Widespread snow and blowing snow will make trave difficult over most mountain passes today and tonight as the latest winter storm blows across the region. The focus of the heaviest snow and strongest mountain top winds will be the northern and central mountains of western Colorado, impacting Highway 40 over Rabbit Ears Pass and Interstate 70 over Vail Pass. Many valleys in northwest and west-central Colorado will also experience snow with areas of blowing snow. Visit weather.gov/gjt for the latest winter storm warnings and advisories. After this storm moves out of the area Monday, high pressure will dominate the remainder of next week. (Please visit http://weather.gov/gjt for more information.)
