The potent low pressure system will lift northeast into the eastern Great Lakes overnight allowing the accumulating snow to end late this evening and overnight. Total storm accumulations will range from around 1-3 inches over the far southern portions of the area, to 6 to 12 inches elsewhere. The snow will be mixed with rain early across southeast portions of central Indiana. Winds are expected to increase towards sunset today, with gusts to around 40 mph possible, resulting in considerable blowing and drifting snow. Bitter cold air will filter in behind the storm, resulting in wind chills of 25 to 40 below zero by Monday morning. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for all of central Indiana until 100 am Monday.
