Significantly colder temperatures are in store for the region Wednesday night through Friday night as a cold air mass drops through the area behind a frontal boundary Wednesday afternoon. Snow showers will develop over the Central and Western mountains with a wintry mix expected through the eastern ranges closer to the I-25 corridor. This cold air will produce daytime temperatures in the 30s through the Plains and 40s through the mountains and higher valleys with overnight low temperatures in the teens into Saturday morning through the entire area. Unsettled weather will remain in place through the weekend. (Please visit http://weather.gov/pub for more information.)
