Rain this morning will end from west to east as a strong cold front sweeps across the region. Ahead of the front it will be rainy and pretty muggy by November's standards with temperatures in the 50s. Behind the front, winds shift to the northwest, rain ends and temperatures will quickly fall into the 40s. The front will move through Rockford and Peru this morning, the Chicago area around midday, and through NW Indiana this afternoon. (Please visit http://weather.gov/lot for more information.)
