#Nature Awareness 10/29/2013 - Koala
The koala is a mostly solitary animal. Mother koalas are attentive to their young until they are strong enough to be on their own, and after the young leave their mother even that emotional bond is broken. When koala appears in your life, it may mean that you require periods of isolation and an environment with little noise so that comfort from within can occur.
Emotional expression is difficult for people with a koala totem, which can make intimate relationships challenging. The koala is not adept at long lasting bonds, so folks working with this energy will need to learn to develop relationships with other totems in addition to the koala, if they desire to understand and benefit from deep and long intimacies with others.
The koala does have its strengths and teaches us all how to be comfortable with our own company. Those with koala energy also have strong psychic and clairaudient abilities as a major benefit. Sounds that soothe the senses and aromatherapy benefit people while working with the koala.
Koala says to you... "Stand solid within yourself and do not be influenced by situations or events that are moving all about you. Maintain sacred space in your life."
Symbolism: solitary endeavors, quiet environments, comfort within the self.
