Dairou was originally planned for MKDA but his costume was too complex. Here is the original sketch.

could you please post the 3d model of Cyrax from MKDA/MKA to download? i am making a costume, and plan to build the armor out of cardboard by cutting out and taping together all of the polygons

I think iv seen this before lol

Complex? This costume is perfect. Sorry to be a criticizing fan but i'm sure if Tekken used this they would have fit it into the game. Their graphics are killer. Anyways the design is flawless. I love MK!

@CAMK0101 that would be awesome .one can only dream.
CAMK0101 on August 11, 2009
@unrealw11 - An HD remake of MK Trilogy would be a DREAM come true. PS1 graphics and characters with the N64 gameplay = Too good for words.

It is a pity that he was not in deadly alliance he looks like chinese samurai in that outfit. I think he had looks good against the other charakters as one of the 2 sword fighters like quan chi. Was his model complete that you had maybe insert him it in

-- Write the story first.
ThePredator151 on August 11, 2009
So yea, re-design based on the story element please. Just as well, all characters should allow their stories to either pin point, or dictate what they look & perform like. Let the concept drive it, & the story redefine and define them. Write the story fir

He looks like a Japanese themed bad-guy that is a ranking member of some crime organization. Way the story reads though, he's betrayed by the law he was loyal to, and now does whatever pays him to get by.
ThePredator151 on August 11, 2009
He's a mercenary now so, he'd probably lack alot of flashy colors, or insignia. Given any cultures thematic appearance btw. Dairou is a rogue, former officer from the OrderRealm....This picture doesn't really speak to that.
ThePredator151 on August 11, 2009
I'd encourage a re-design here. He looks like one or two too many concepts or themes mixed into one character. Like he represents alot...but he doesn't.
MK_Red on August 11, 2009
Nice. I wish his 3D model was more like this in MKD (Slimmer and more eastern like).
kingjolly87 on August 11, 2009
(continued)Why not give characters 3+ costumes? It gives your art team more oppurtunities to explore more crazy designs.
kingjolly87 on August 11, 2009
I prefer this design to the MKD one to be honest. It's not over designed or complex at all. In matter of fact, I think your art team should strive for more detailed costumes as opposed to bland and generic ones such as Hsu Hao, Darrious, and Taven. Why no
UMKStatic on August 11, 2009
This is the best looking Dairou I've seen. Too bad he was a very badly broken character :(
shaheen5 on August 11, 2009
Great... but too much details... the colors are awsome... i love this coloring.

TheDeadlySyn on August 11, 2009
Whoa nice! If he ever comes back, he should definitely get this costume. ;]
Bonys on August 11, 2009
