It was on this very day that the Prophet (pbuh) performed his pilgrimage & while great Prophet (pbuh) was standing on Arafah Mountain, Allah revealed to Him the verse : "This day I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion." (Quran 5:3)
