A cold front pushed through eastern Colorado overnight, with an abundance of monsoon moisture working across the region in its wake. This will help to set the stage for a period of unsettled weather across eastern Colorado, with a good chance for precipitation developing over a large part of eastern Colorado through at least the mid week period, and possibly into the weekend. Locally heavy rain will once again threaten the burn scars across the region through the period, so persons living in or near these areas will need to remain weather alert. Snow will also be likely at elevations above 11000 feet, so persons planning to venture into these areas should be prepared for winter weather conditions. Area temperatures will be noticeably cooler over the next several days, with today being the warmest, as highs warm into the 80s over the far eastern sections of the state, while temperatures only manage to warm into the 60s and 70s along the interstate 25 corridor and are! as to the west.
