Cooler and more moist air is expected to spread across Colorado Tuesday... behind a cold front making its way through eastern Colorado...although warm air should linger until late afternoon over the far eastern counties. The possibility for showers and thunderstorms should also increase region wide over the course of the day. Locally heavy rain will still be a concern with stronger storms...so that people in or near the burn scar areas should remain weather alert. Look for cooler temperatures starting Tuesday and continuing through mid-week...with highs in the 70s over most locations...and continued middle and upper 80s over the eastern plains. Readings should be in the 50s and 60s over the high country. (Please visit http://weather.gov/pub for more information.)
