Very warm late summer weather will continue through Sunday with temperatures approaching the mid to upper 90's Sunday afternoon across the lower Arkansas river valley. Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible across the mountains Sunday afternoon. A cold frontal passage Monday will bring moisture to the area overnight Monday through Tuesday. This will bring a significant change in the weather to the region through mid week. Expect much cooler temperatures and a chance for precipitation over much of the area Tuesday and Wednesday. Flash flooding will be a concern across the burn scars as heavy rain will be possible over those areas. (Please visit http://weather.gov/pub for more information.)
