#Nature Awareness 9/5/2013 - Kudu. Kudus are colored to blend in and are not the most social animals on the planet. Males might band together briefly but will often disperse from one another as soon as possible, and the males only team up with females briefly during a quick mating season. Living a more solitary lifestyle allows the kudu the ability to blend into brush quickly and to escape predators on fleet feet if needs be. Symbolism: speed, great leaps, protection, camouflage, dominance, solitary endeavors.
