As high pressure builds back in and strengthens over the Great Basin, drier air will continue to infiltrate the forecast area from the northwest. The best chance for storms will occur over the southern portions of the forecast area, where some residual moisture remains in place. Temperatures will warm to above normal levels as a result of the drying trend. Moisture looks to return to the area by Wednesday as the high pressure ridge shifts east of the divide, signaling the return of monsoonal moisture. (Please visit for more information.)
