Very hot, dry and windy conditions are expected across southeast Colorado this afternoon. This will bring favorable conditions for rapid fire growth over the region. Area temperatures will remain well above average, with near record highs likely once again at most locations. Highs will warm into the low to mid 100's across the eastern plains, with generally 80s and 90s expected over the high country.
