Conditions will stay hot and dry across southern and eastern Colorado Memorial Day. Temperatures are expected to climb to the 60s and 70s over the high country...the 70s and lower 80s through the southern valleys...and well into the 90s across the eastern plains. Gusty winds along with low humidity and continued dry fuels will keep the fire danger extreme this first holiday of the warm season...and a Red Flag Warning is in effect for the Sangre de Cristo Mountains...the Wet Mountains and the Wet Mountain Valley from Noon to 9 PM. Otherwise...look for a mostly day...great for most outdoor activities. (Please visit http://weather.gov/pub for more information.)
