Mostly dry and hot weather will spread across the state over the holiday weekend, with only a few isolated late day thunderstorms possible along the Colorado Kansas border. High temperatures will warm into the 80s to mid 90s across the eastern plains, with generally 60s and 70s expected across the high country. Near record high temperatures will be possible at some locations on Saturday. High fire danger will also be a concern over the eastern mountains and some adjacent locations on Saturday, due to the gusty winds and dry conditions expected during the afternoon and early evening hours.
