A slow moving area of low pressure over the northern Rockies will keep below average temperatures and the potential for showers and thunderstorms over Colorado today. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected across most of the south central and southeast parts of the state. High temperatures will range in the 40s and 50s in the mountains, the low to mid 60s over the San Luis Valley, and the mid 60s to low 70s across the eastern plains.
