Low pressure centered over northwest Colorado will move slowly northeast today. Plenty of clouds and snow showers will rotate around this low, affecting much of northeast Utah, and northwest and central Colorado. Periods of moderate to heavy snow are expected over the Flattops, with occasional moderate snowfall over portions of the northern and central Colorado mountains. The Flattops Wilderness will receive 8 to 14 inches of new snow with areas of blowing and drifting snow. The northern and central Colorado mountains near the Continental Divide can expect 4 to 8 inches of new snow, with hazardous driving conditions expected over Vail Pass.
