A cold storm system will push across the northern and central portions of the forecast area this afternoon through Saturday, bringing accumulating snow to the mountains and a chance of rain/snow to the lower elevations. This system will favor the northern and central Colorado mountains with significant snowfall, see www.weather.gov/gjt for the latest on the winter weather highlights in effect. The associated cold front will usher in a much colder air mass across the region for the weekend. A secondary disturbance will keep a chance of snow over the mountains on Sunday, with drier conditions on Monday. (Please visit http://weather.gov/gjt for more information.)
