Light rain and drizzle will persist across the area this morning before tapering off by midday. Then skies will gradually clear from west to east. Otherwise...highs will be in the low 40s to low 50s today. Tonight a ridge of high pressure will build in over the area. However...a weak shortwave will slide southeast on Tuesday...bringing a quick shot of light rain during the afternoon and evening hours...especially for areas along and south of I-70. Highs on Tuesday will be similar to today...in the low 40s to low 50s. Colder air to filter in behind this system...with high temperatures only in the mid 30s to mid 40s for the rest of the work week. (Please visit http://weather.gov/lsx for more information.)
