A Red Flag Warning is in effect from 11am through 8pm today for Pueblo, Otero, Crowley, Southern El Paso and Eastern Las Animas counties. Dry and Windy conditions are expected across the Plains with an elevated threat of fire growth from areas that have dry fuels. Unsettled weather will continue across the state on today, with isolated thunderstorms possible over the eastern plains, and scattered to numerous rain and snow showers possible over the high country. The best chances for precipitation will be over the mountains along and west of the Continental Divide, where some light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly over the higher elevations. Strong winds will develop through the region today with gusts from 40 mph to 50 mph possible along the I-25 corridor and winds to 60 mph possible for higher elevations. Area temperatures will briefly return to above normal over most locations on Today, with temperatures generally in the 60s over the eastern plains and 4! 0s and 50s across the high country.
