Fair weather should continue across southern and eastern Colorado again Thursday...although western areas could see increasing clouds late in the day...ahead of a weather system taking shape off the west coast. Gusty winds are possible across the higher mountain elevations. Temperatures will warm into the upper 60s and lower 70s across the eastern plains...with 40s and 50s over the southern valleys and the high country. Looking ahead to the weekend...An approaching low pressure system will impact the state starting Friday morning in the west...and continue into early Sunday...with the potential for significant snow along and west of the continental divide. If you are planning travel over the weekend...remain weather alert to this developing winter weather situation. (Please visit http://weather.gov/pub for more information.)
