A mix of snow and sleet is possible tonight, mainly across northeastern MO and west central IL. This mix is expected to change to freezing rain around sunrise Monday morning. After a lull in precipitation through much of the day on Monday, rain is likely Monday night as a low pressure system moves through the region. This rain is expected to gradually mix with, then change over to all snow Monday night as cold air moves into the area. Snow is expected to continue Tuesday, coming to an end Tuesday evening. Storm total amounts of 1 to 3 inches are currently expected across much of the area with this system. (Please visit http://weather.gov/lsx for more information.)
