Thanks to a slowly departing storm system now over the Great Lakes and additional upper level disturbances dropping through, scattered snow showers can be expected the next couple of days. Little or no accumulation is anticipated for most areas, although isolated spots may receive up to an inch each day. Well below normal temperatures will continue, where readings will be some 15 degrees below average. This period of cold weather will not just continue through the rest of the work week but also through the weekend. (Please visit http://weather.gov/lsx for more information.)
