A potent winter storm will move through the region late Saturday night into Monday. Blizzard warnings have been issued for Northern El Paso County, Huerfano County and Las Animas County beginning early Sunday. Blowing snow and reduced visibilities are likely in these areas. A Blizzard Watch has been issued for Baca County from Sunday Afternoon through Monday Morning. Extensive areas of blowing and drifting snow are possible. Winter Storm Warnings have been issued beginning late Saturday night for the Wet Mountains, Teller County, Pikes Peak and the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Total snow amounts could reach 10 to 14 inches with locally higher amounts. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for the Eastern San Juan and La Garita Mountains through Sunday Morning, as well as the Western Mosquito Range and Eastern Sawatch Mountains through late Sunday Afternoon. Total snow accumulations will be 6 to 12 inches. In addition, a Winter Weather Advisory had been issued for! Southern El Paso County, Pueblo, Crowley and Otero Counties from Sunday Morning into early Monday Afternoon. Snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches with locally higher amounts are possible.
