A strong winter storm will move through the region late Saturday through Sunday afternoon. Blizzard watches have been issued for Northern El Paso County, and all of Las Animas and Huerfano county beginning early Sunday. Blowing snow and reduced visibilities will be possible in these areas. Winter Storm Watches have been issued for the Wet Mountains, Teller County, and the Sange De Cristo Mountains. Total snow amounts could reach 12 to 14 inches with locally higher amounts. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for the Eastern San Juan and La Garita Mountains as well as the Western Mosquito Range and Eastern Sawatch Mountains beginning at 2 PM today.
