From a fellow doggie foster mom friend of mine: " BLASE NEEDS A FOSTER/ADOPTER/RESCUE ASAP! He has a PTS date of Feb 22, so we have only 5 days to get him into a rescue or find a foster/adopter for him. Blase is a handsome 2 yr old, intact male, yellow lab mix, who was found in the backyard of a good samaritan. He was taken to Fort Bend County Animal Control and his owner was notified, but his owner has said that he is not willing to pay the reclaiming fee and doesn’t care if his dog is euthanized! We cannot let this innocent dog die because of a heartless owner! Blase’s rescuer says that he is an extremely sweet dog, gentle with children, doesn’t pull hard on his leash, is house-trained and crates well. He is just gorgeous, outside and inside. We must find him a home before Feb 22nd or identify a committed foster to be able to place him into a rescue program. Several people have pledged funds to contribute to his vetting and neutering. Please, time is extremely urgent. He only has until this upcoming Friday! Blase can be adopted from the Fort Bend Animal Control shelter, located at 1210 Blume Rd, in Rosenberg.
