Jim Chambers was the first African-American to play for the Edmonton #Eskimos. He was a graduate of the Westmount Junior Football Program. In 1946 & 48 he tried out for Montreal, but failed to make the roster both times. #CFL In 1954, with the emergence of Rollie Miles, Chambers left Edmonton to join BC for their first season.
