The next weather system to impact the area will take aim on the region late this afternoon into tonight. A weak low pressure system moving along the Gulf Coast is forecast to bring a rain/snow mix to southern Missouri and southern Illinois tonight into early Wednesday morning. At this time, snowfall accumulations of up to 2 inches are expected as the rain/snow mix briefly changes to all snow.
