High pressure will move into the area tonight resulting in clear skies and seasonably cold temperatures. Meanwhile the next weather system to impact the area will take aim on the region late Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday night. A weak low pressure system moving along the Gulf Coast is forecast to bring a rain/snow mix to southern Missouri and southern Illinois Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning. At this time, snowfall accumulations of up to 2 inches are expected as the rain/snow mix changes to all snow. (Please visit http://weather.gov/lsx for more information.)
